How to Change the Screen Resolution in Windows Operating Systems

Someone emailed me about how to change screen resolution in Windows XP. Well, here it is. I also added the steps on how to do it in Win 7 (never mind vista).

Changing Screen Resolution in Win XP

1. Right click on the desktop
2. Click (left) on Properties
3. Display Properties Dialogue box will appear
4. Go to Settings tab
5. Adjust the Screen Resolution Slider between less to more then hit Apply
6. Click OK

Changing Screen Resolution in Win 7


1. Right click on the desktop
2. Click (left) Screen Resolution
3. Choose your preferred resolution from the drop down list
4. Hit Apply. Then Choose Keep Changes
5. Click OK
